I love The Fixx, Sign of Fire is my fave. Stand or Fall is second best.
"Stand or Fall" is my favorite. Or maybe "Saved By Zero."

The Supply Department in question is a veterans' aid outfit that helps formerly homeless pholks get set up in their new homes. They sent me a queen size bed when I already had a custom full size bed on the way. They both fit, but...

I want my electronics lab to occupy the half acre of bedroom space the queen size bed is sitting on. All of the lab equipment has come in, including the cute little Windows laptop to run the whole show. The desks and chair will arrive in days. So I'm gonna blow the damned thing up.

Kidding. I'm gifting it to a friend who's helping me assemble furniture. lol

Cute to a point. It's shocking how invasive Windows 11 is. But I'll harp on that shit later.
What I'm saying is, it's a cheap used 11.6" laptop that a dealer freshens up with an SSD and new Windows install, then sells thousands of them on Ebay for $65 and upwards a pop. The top of the lid has scuffs on it.

But when you're looking at just the little screen and keyboard, it's pretty cute.

I have an excess bed problem too...

No idea how I'm ever gonna lighten that specific load.

It's like Princess and the Pea up in this bitch.

I got a bunch of different mattresses over the years before I finally learned the problem was lack of springs, not the mattress itself.

Springiness is indispensable when it comes to beds.

I got a Lenovo Yoga for like $300 back in 2016, and it's literally one of the best computers I've ever had.

I thought it was toast like 3 years ago cuz it started running too slow to even use...

Then I learned that all computers (Mac or Windows, etc.) just need to be factory reset every several years, and they run like fucking new.

I still use that little laptop. It's still excellent.

Excellent as far as being fast and incredibly powerful for what it is.

As far as the keyboard/typing experience and the touchpad...

LMFAOOOOOOOOOO nah.

I dunno who the fuck thought that layout was a good idea...

I literally superglued one of the keys down so it will never move again.

Now it's bearable to use.

Wouldn't have done that if it was my only laptop though.

Back when it was new, definitely wouldn't have done that.

But it's old and I have others so I took the risk on supergluing it, and it's fine.

Typically if I'm using a Windows laptop, I hook up another keyboard and mouse anyways.

Only laptops I'll use as-is are Macbooks.

Yep. The frame I got can be used without a box spring, but I've always heard you have to have one with an old school mattress. This one has plenty of slats and a brace bar down the middle. The bed sits pretty high off the ground with the box spring.

I almost got a Yoga ThinkPad, but he sold out before I jumped on it. I got a Dell Latitude 3189 instead. The lid supposedly pivots so you can use it as a tablet, but I haven't figured that part out yet.

Anytime I have to fix the OS, I just wipe it and install Linux.
Yeah the Lenovo has the flip around screen that acts like a tablet too, but I have never used it that way.

It's cool to have the option though I guess.

The thing is so lightweight, perfect for taking it with you traveling the world.

Oh, I see. It folds all the way back till lies flat against the bottom of the computer. Pretty neat.
Yeah, it's actually really cool.
Ever eat those dried okras from the produce aisle at Walmart? Damn, those things are good.
Hell yeah...

They are one of my favorite snacks ever.

I still like dried green beans the best, but hard to beat okra.

Ditched reddit today. Been a long time coming.
All the cunts at the top - CEO's, admin, whomever - can get fucked.
I deleted every Reddit account I ever had days after I opened them.

I could never stand Reddit it's like a million of the same annoying dude either saying "This." Or "actually" and passive aggressively "correcting" each other.
I'll miss the Art subs but that's about it. That whole site is a fucking toilet.
And I'd say high 90's percentage of the user base are cunty, normie fucks.

We throughout the OG fora community knew Reddit was a den of shills from day one...

I was used to having my own message boards before Reddit ever even existed, so I never had any skin in their game.

If you truly want a censorship free forum where you can safely invest your time, energy, and creativity...

You gotta make one yourself. Otherwise, it's always just hoping that your time won't be wasted, it's always a matter of saving your work locally, always a matter of tip toeing around certain topics to save your account, etc.

Most people just want a place to talk, they don't really wanna administer it themselves. So to them I say, choose your outlet very wisely, and always save your work locally so you have something to show for your time if they boot you.
